Senior Developer

Full-time | Permanent | Remote (UK)

Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience

About NASGP

NASGP is a membership organisation founded by GPs to support sessional GPs and general practice. We now support around 5,000 GP locums, and our LocumDeck platform has enabled more than 140,000 bookings between GP members and practices.

Our work is focused on supporting GP morale and retention, helping flexible GPs work effectively and enabling practices to access the workforce they need.

The opportunity

NASGP is entering an important period of business and technical change as we build the foundations for sustained growth. We have new opportunities developing across our membership, platform and commercial partnerships, so our technology needs to be resilient, scalable and capable of supporting the future direction of the organisation.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Full Stack Developer to take the lead in helping us build great software. Our software is currently transitioning from legacy PHP 8 to a service-oriented architecture built using Laravel, MariaDB, React and TypeScript. We need someone who can lead this work in a parity-tested and de-risked way while remaining actively involved in writing and delivering code.

The initial focus

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead the migration of LocumDeck from V1 to V2.
  • Deliver full-stack features across the PHP, Laravel, MariaDB, React and TypeScript stack.
  • Assess and improve our current architecture, codebase and development practices.
  • Build integrations in a scalable and maintainable way.
  • Strengthen testing, security, CI/CD, infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery arrangements.
  • Plan the migration of the V2 platform from Plesk and CentOS to Microsoft Azure.
  • Establish and maintain clear standards for code quality, structure and architecture.
  • Help shape a longer-term technology roadmap aligned with our business priorities and plans for sustained growth.

The person we are looking for

We are a small, focused team, so we need someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves, take ownership and get on with the job.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
