About you
Are you an experienced Java developer ready to tackle complex challenges and build high-quality software? At Heywood, we're a market leader in the world of pensions administration and we're looking for proactive and collaborative engineers to help us build new features and products.
We're looking for someone who:

What you'll do
As a member of one of our Scrum teams, you'll play an important role in shaping and delivering innovative features and products for our growing customer base. This means:
- Driving solutions: You'll help us design and implement new features that address customer needs
- Collaborating and growing: You'll work closely with talented individuals, including product experts, UX designers and Test Analysts, and even engage directly with our customers. You'll also mentor and learn from your teammates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared knowledge.
- Taking initiative: stepping up to complex technical challenges
- Growing your team: contributing to the professional growth of your team and yourself through collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What will set you apart
Experience in any of the following areas would be a bonus:
- DevOps and Infrastructure as Code: Tools like Chef, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Terragrunt
- Cloud-Native Development: Designing, developing, and operating serverless applications on AWS.
