Overview Of the Role

As a Developer Advocate, your mission is to help developers successfully adopt KX by creating technical content and experiences that demonstrate how our platform solves real capital markets problems. You'll translate complex technology into practical guidance while helping Product and Engineering continuously improve developer experience.

Hybrid working model based out of our New York or London Office

Essential Experience

  • 5+ years in Developer Relations, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or a similar technical customer-facing role.
  • Strong proficiency with q/kdb+ and experience building applications that process high-performance time-series data.
  • Strong Python skills (PyKX experience is a plus).
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with containers and Kubernetes.
  • Deep understanding of capital markets workflows including market data, electronic trading, quantitative research, market structure, or trading technology.
  • Experience creating technical content including demos, tutorials, sample applications, blogs, videos, presentations, or developer documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to developers with varying levels of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building developer communities through conferences, meetups, workshops, or open-source contributions.
  • Experience with AI developer workflows, MCP, RAG, vector search, GPU acceleration, or modern AI development frameworks.
  • Familiarity with streaming technologies such as Kafka.

Responsibilities

  • Create technical content and hands-on experiences that help developers successfully build with KX across real capital markets workflows including demos, tutorials, sample applications, blueprints, and reference architectures.
  • Develop reusable technical assets that enable customers, partners, presales teams, and the developer community to adopt KX effectively and showcase best practices.
  • Engage and grow the KX developer community through blogs, webinars, workshops, conferences, GitHub, community forums, and social channels.
