Introduction
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of London's most ambitious and forward-thinking boroughs as a Senior Developer Contributions Officer.
As a Senior Developer Contributions Officer, you will form part of the team ensuring that growth and development contribute to the delivery of essential infrastructure and community benefits across Lewisham. You will play a leading role in the administration, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Council's Building Safety Levy function, working closely with internal teams, software providers and external stakeholders to develop Levy processes and ensure their effective operation and compliance with legislative requirements. You will also support the effective management of the Council's multi-million-pound Developer Contributions Programme, overseeing the negotiation, collection, monitoring and allocation of contributions that help deliver the borough's strategic priorities.
What’s the role?
You will work within our multi-disciplinary Strategic Planning team contributing to a wide range of exciting and complex projects that help shape Lewisham's future. We are a supportive, positive and dedicated team, committed to high standards, continuous improvement and delivering the best outcomes for our communities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Playing a lead role in developing Building Safety Levy (BSL) processes and procedures and working closely with internal teams, software providers and external stakeholders to ensure these process are working effectively.
- Administering and collecting the BSL once implemented, including the preparation and submission of quarterly management information.
- Monitoring, collecting, administration and reporting of Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL).
- Monitoring and management of Section 106 agreements ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
- Working with stakeholders to secure CIL or S106 contributions into projects.
- Preparing high-quality reports, briefing notes, correspondence, presentations and other documentation for a range of audiences.
- Providing technical guidance, advice, mentoring; and constructive engagement with applicants, stakeholders and the community.
- Supporting continuous improvement in systems, processes and reporting arrangements to ensure the effective administration of developer contributions and the delivery of community infrastructure.

Special conditions
Experience:
- of working in CIL collection and detailed understanding of the CIL regulations
- understanding of monitoring S106 obligations and s106 Agreements.
- of working with Exacom or another similar online database.
You should bring:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail

£47,367 - £49,509 pre annum (PO2)
