Senior Developer / Forward Deployed Engineer – Energy Trading IT (LNG Focus)
Location: London
Contract Role
About the Industry
We operate in the fast-paced world of energy trading, covering LNG, gas, power, and environmental products. This is a sector where technology and trading expertise meet — and where developers can make a direct impact on global markets.
The Role
We are seeking a Senior Developer / Forward Deployed Engineer to join our LNG Trading IT team. This is not a back-office coding role — you’ll be embedded with the trading desk, working directly with business users to design, build, and deploy next-generation trading tools.
You’ll adapt legacy spreadsheets into modern portals, leverage LLMs and applied AI to forecast LNG tanker movements worldwide, and deliver solutions that transform how the LNG desk operates.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
