Senior Software Developer

Salary from £80,000-£110,000 (Depending on Exp) + Benefits

Most developers focus on building the features, this role is for someone who thrives on owning what happens once it's live.

We're working with a well-established SaaS business whose platform is used by thousands of customers globally. Over the past few years, they've grown steadily, expanded their engineering function, and built a reputation for creating reliable products rather than chasing hype.

As their platform continues to scale, they're looking for a pragmatic Senior Developer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, improving systems, and building software that stands up in production.

A Typical Day in the Role

  • Building and improving APIs that support critical platform functionality
  • Investigating production issues and tracing problems across distributed systems
  • Working with product and engineering teams to design scalable solutions
  • Improving reliability, observability, and performance across existing services
  • Reviewing code, sharing knowledge, and helping raise engineering standards across the team
  • Tackling real-world challenges around third-party integrations, data consistency, and system resilience
  • Debugging complex issues, from flaky dependencies to partial failures, ensuring system reliability

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
