Base Location:
You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations: Reading, Perth, Glasgow
Salary:
£64,085 - £76,581+ performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join the Energy Markets IT/OT team. With a level of guidance and support you will contribute to the continuous improvement and maintenance of our internal OT platform by developing new features based on business requirements and providing technical support in the diagnosis and resolution of incidents.
You Will
- Develop and maintain new features for the internal OT platform, working to defined standards.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents and issues on the platform, participating in escalation and documentation processes.
- Assist with release, change management, impact assessments, deployments, and regression testing for technical changes and patches.
- Support the platform monitoring processes and implement configuration changes as needed based on platform performance.
- Validate and verify technical deliverables through QA and test processes, ensuring quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure access control and security of development assets is maintained, follow cybersecurity standards, and report risks to protect against loss and attacks.

- Excellent core/vanilla JavaScript skills, with a solid understanding of language fundamentals outside of modern frameworks or libraries. C# skills also desirable.
- A relevant qualification or background in Computer Science, Operational Technology, or Industrial IoT.
- Experience in, or a strong understanding of REST API design and implementation.
- Excellent technical computing, analysis, design, and development skills to a proven professional level.
