We are seeking an experienced Senior Developer with strong Python and Django expertise to join a high-profile government digital programme delivering secure, user-focused digital services. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a modern engineering environment, building and enhancing critical services that support complex business processes and deliver real value to users. You will join a multidisciplinary agile team, working alongside developers, designers, business analysts and delivery professionals to design, develop and maintain scalable, resilient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain applications using Python and Django
- Build secure, scalable and maintainable digital services
- Develop REST APIs and integrated solutions
- Deliver high-quality, test-driven software
- Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions
- Support live services, troubleshooting and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary agile teams
- Promote engineering best practices, coding standards and quality assurance
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience with Python development
- Hands-on experience with Django
- Experience delivering scalable and secure software solutions
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and coding standards
- Experience with REST APIs and modern development practices
- Experience working in agile teams
- Strong testing, debugging and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- 5+ years’ commercial development experience (8+ years preferred)

- Experience delivering government or public sector digital services
- Experience working in secure or regulated environments
- Cloud-based application development experience
