Senior Full Stack React/.NET Developer

Pearson Carter are working with a leading organisation that continues to invest in its internal technology and development capabilities. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack React/.NET Developer to join their Buying & Merchandising development team.

The successful candidate will work on systems supporting product ranges, stock purchasing, pricing, promotions and sales analysis. You'll be working across C#, SQL Server, Entity Framework Core, React and TypeScript, alongside distributed systems, microservices and cloud technologies.

The development team operates within small, collaborative teams using a Kanban approach, with a strong focus on code quality, testing, code reviews and continuous improvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join an established organisation and make a genuine impact across a business-critical technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET, React and TypeScript.
  • Work across systems supporting buying, merchandising, pricing and stock.
  • Build and maintain solutions across monolithic and microservices architectures.
  • Develop distributed systems using RabbitMQ, MassTransit and Azure Service Bus.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and scalable backend services.
  • Work with Docker and Kubernetes within Microsoft Azure.
  • Support CI/CD processes using Jenkins and modern development tooling.
  • Contribute to code reviews, pair programming and automated testing.
  • Work with microfrontend architectures and modern frontend approaches.
  • Use GitFlow and established source control practices.
  • Understand project requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.
  • Solve complex technical problems and identify effective solutions.
  • Deliver initial results quickly and iterate based on feedback.
  • Contribute to technical planning and project scoping.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the development team.

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years' commercial experience with C#, SQL, EF Core and JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Minimum 4 years' commercial experience with React or a similar framework.
  • Strong full stack development experience across frontend and backend technologies.
  • Good knowledge of distributed systems and message brokers.
  • Strong understanding of microservice design principles.
  • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Commercial experience with SQL Server and relational databases.
  • Experience with automated testing, code reviews and continuous delivery.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, ideally within Azure.
  • Experience working with Jenkins and CI/CD practices.
  • Good understanding of GitFlow and source control workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Pragmatic approach to development and technical decision making.
  • Experience mentoring junior developers would be beneficial.
  • Experience with technical planning and project scoping would be advantageous.
  • Previous retail experience would be beneficial.

Salary

Salary is dependent on experience and looking to go up to £90k.

Location

This is a remote role however there is an office based in London for quarterly meet ups.

Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
