Job Profile
Our client is looking for a Senior Finance Systems Developer to bolster their in-house development team as they move into a new phase of systems development. As they continue to roll out Dynamics 365 Business Central as their core finance system, they continue to build out new modern applications that feed into this to allow the business to enhance its finance system portfolio. At present they have 5 new modern applications feeding into D365 BC that are written in Python (Django/Flask). You will be responsible for the continued development of these. They also have a number of legacy applications that are written in C#, you will be responsible for the maintenance of these whilst a long term plan is made on how to proceed with these.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Finally, you will also be responsible for the mentoring and management of 2 staff, a Developer and a Reporting Analyst.
