Senior Development Analyst

London - Real Estate £75,000 - £90,000

Your company

Join a leading UK real estate and infrastructure organisation with a portfolio of large scale, high-profile development projects. With a strong pipeline of investment and development activity, the business is seeking a commercially minded Senior Development Modeller to provide critical financial insight that supports strategic decision-making across major projects.

Your role and responsibilities

As Senior Development Modeller, you will be the modelling specialist supporting development, finance and senior leadership teams across a range of complex real estate projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining, enhancing and owning development appraisal models, ensuring accuracy and best-practice modelling standards.
  • Conducting scenario, sensitivity and cashflow analysis to support commercial and investment decisions.
  • Analysing and explaining movements in key financial metrics for boards, shareholders and joint venture partners.
  • Translating complex model outputs into clear commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes across development projects.
  • Partnering with development, construction, finance, debt and operational stakeholders to challenge assumptions and improve decision-making.
  • Contributing to process improvements, automation initiatives and system enhancements.

What's Required

  • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Physics or another highly quantitative discipline.
  • Strong financial modelling experience, ideally gained within real estate, property development, infrastructure, investment or a similarly asset-intensive environment.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical modelling skills with the ability to build, review and improve complex models.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret data beyond the numbers.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Experience working with development appraisals, cashflow forecasting, scenario analysis or investment modelling would be highly advantageous.
