Salary circa £65,000 per annum depending on skills and experience plus 34 days leave, rising to 39 (includes bank holidays and a ‘me’ day)

We’re looking for a Senior Development and Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of our new homes development programme for the North East Region. This is your chance to make a real impact, driving our mixed-tenure development projects from inception through to completion, ensuring our customers and communities are always at the heart of what we do.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of Development & Delivery Managers, managing projects from site identification through to aftercare.
  • Oversee all stages of delivery, legals, appraisals, planning submissions, and construction through to completion.
  • Deliver a variety of tenures across multiple sites, ensuring best value and quality.
  • Manage budgets, income and expenditure, and maintain strong relationships with developer and contractor partners.
  • Play a key role in achieving growth and surplus targets while delivering homes that make a difference.

You have

  • Significant experience in the housing sector delivering high-quality new homes across multiple sites.
  • A relevant degree (or equivalent) and a proven track record in delivering complex mixed-tenure developments, including affordable housing and homes for private sale.
  • Strong commercial knowledge of housing development, planning processes, procurement, and contractor management.
  • Skilled in creating and implementing compliant, design-led schemes.
  • A natural leader who inspires teams and creates a great place to work.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel across sites required)

The practical bits

  • Hybrid working, with 2 days being in One Strawberry Lane and the rest on site or at home
  • Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw)
