Are you an experienced chemist with a passion for innovation, formulation development, and solving complex technical challenges?
We're looking for a Senior Development Chemist to join our EMEA R&D team, playing a key role in developing and enhancing adhesive technologies for the Building Components and Durable Goods markets.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative product development projects, collaborate with customers and suppliers, and help shape the future of our product portfolio within a global organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead development projects from concept through to commercialisation, ensuring delivery to agreed timescales.
- Develop and test new adhesive formulations to support product line expansion.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing process improvements and scale-up activities.
- Partner with customers to understand current and future application requirements.
- Support customers through product testing, technical presentations, and application advice.
- Build relationships with technical stakeholders and raw material suppliers.
- Research emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory developments.
- Represent the business at relevant industry associations and technical forums.
- Produce technical reports and maintain HSE and COSHH documentation.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Degree (BSc or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline
- Experience within a product development, formulation, or development chemist role
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects
- Strong IT skills

- Experience formulating and testing adhesives, sealants, or related chemical products
- Knowledge of reactive chemistries, particularly:
- Polyurethane (PU)
- Polysulphide (PS)
- Silicone (Si)
- Experience supporting manufacturing scale-up and process optimisation
