BBI exists to help our customers create advances that improve health and save lives. We are seeking a Senior Development Scientist to join our team. This is a fixed-term, full-time position based at our site in Crumlin. Join our team: advancing health, together.
The Role
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Ability to bring specialist technical knowledge for the IVD development lifecycle into the team. Develop and deliver training in areas around specialist knowledge.
- Ability to identify key improvements in technical methods utilized in development.
- Ability to plan, design, and execute technical project work and prepare technical reports for internal and external review.
- Independently complete technical work plans to achieve project goals for review with Leader.
- Work within BBI Solutions Design Control process.
- Work with project team to highlight technical issues and proactively deliver solutions work to secrecy classification requirements.
- Ability to work with colleagues in other functions to disseminate specialized knowledge as required.
- Analysis, troubleshooting, and presentation of work using excel and/or power point to present to Project Team / Customer.
- Actively contribute to Project Team Meetings.
- Ability to give clear and appropriate communication with colleagues and customers to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Understand the requirements for project design history files (DHF) and actively work with the Project Manager to ensure DHF up to date and appropriate for audit.
- Understand QMS requirements and impacts for R&D.
- Generate and complete project specific protocols as required.
- Complete Laboratory work to BBI quality and health and safety requirements.
- Complete experimental write ups to QMS requirements and work with appropriate colleagues to review and approve in a timely manner.
- Complete Timesheets accurately and in timely fashion.
- Awareness of targeted chargeable hours and communication of any issues/changes to Project Manager.
- Attend customer meetings.
- Independent and accurate completion of planned laboratory work with the ability to plan experiments with appropriate controls.
- Ensure day to day maintenance of a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness in the Laboratory and other working areas.
- Ensure clear and timely communication with all required personnel.
- Help supervise and train new starters where appropriate.
- General laboratory duties including support and maintenance of equipment.
