Bring New Food Products to Life!

Pilgrim's Europe is looking for a passionate and driven Senior Development Technologist to join our Product & Innovation team in Bromborough.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced food professional to play a key role in developing and launching innovative new products, working from concept through to successful commercial launch. You'll work closely with Commercial, Operations, Technical, Process, and Packaging teams to ensure products are developed in line with customer expectations and manufacturing capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day delivery of New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) projects.
  • Develop products in line with commercial, nutritional, quality, and operational requirements.
  • Create customer samples for submissions, presentations, and product reviews.
  • Support projects through the full Stage & Gate development process.
  • Generate and maintain all required development documentation and customer submission paperwork.
  • Work closely with Operations, Technical, Packaging, and Process teams to ensure successful launches.
  • Contribute to the innovation pipeline, identifying new product opportunities and trends.
  • Support customer presentations and product concept development.

About You

  • Experience within a Product Development, NPD, Development Technologist, or Food Innovation role.
  • Food-related qualification or equivalent experience within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Passion for food, innovation, and consumer trends.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Full UK driving licence desirable.
