Help us build the infrastructure that takes autonomous technology from development to dependable real-world deployment.
At Kybera, we're building the software infrastructure that enables autonomous vehicles to operate safely and reliably in complex industrial environments, starting with ports and logistics.
We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help us build and scale the engineering and operational backbone behind our technology.
This is a senior hands-on role for someone who enjoys building robust infrastructure, creating elegant deployment systems and solving the complex challenge of getting advanced technology running reliably across cloud, on-premises and real-world customer environments.
What you'll be doing
- Shape Kybera's DevOps and platform engineering approach across infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, reliability and security.
- Design scalable platform architectures spanning cloud, on-premises, hybrid and customer-site environments.
- Build reusable deployment standards and patterns that can scale across our products and future customer deployments.
- Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines across multiple repositories, services and product components.
- Lead release engineering and deployment automation for Kybera's technology.
- Help us create repeatable, secure and scalable deployments across development, test, staging, production and customer environments.
- Design deployment approaches for isolated customer environments, multiple sites and multi-tenant systems where required.
- Build strong observability, monitoring, alerting and operational health practices into our production systems.
- Lead incident response and turn lessons learned into improvements in platform reliability.
- Embed security, safety, compliance, auditability and traceability into the way our infrastructure and deployment processes are designed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We'd love to hear from you if you have...
- 5+ years' experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform or Infrastructure Engineering, including experience operating at senior or lead level.
- Strong production experience with AWS, ideally alongside another cloud or on-premises environment.
- Experience designing and scaling CI/CD across multiple repositories and product lines using GitHub Actions or equivalent.
- Experience supporting safety-critical, mission-critical or highly regulated production systems.
- A strong understanding of reliability, observability, infrastructure security and deployment automation.
- The confidence to make technical decisions and establish standards while remaining hands-on with the technology.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering teams, customers, partners and other stakeholders.
- Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, industrial automation, transportation or other mission-critical infrastructure would be a bonus, as would familiarity with ROS 2 build and release tooling, multi-tenant SaaS platforms or customer-isolated deployment models.

Don't worry if you don't tick every box. We're interested in people with strong engineering fundamentals, curiosity and the ability to build reliable systems in complex environments, even if your experience comes from a different industry.
Why Kybera?
- You'll be joining Kybera at an early and important stage of our journey, with the opportunity to shape the infrastructure, tools and engineering practices that underpin our technology as we move from development into increasingly complex real-world deployments.
- We're a small, fast-moving team, so this isn't a role where you'll simply inherit somebody else's platform. You'll have genuine ownership, work closely with engineers across our autonomy stack and have a direct influence on how our technology is built, deployed and operated.
- If you want to build the foundations that allow sophisticated autonomous systems to work reliably outside the lab and in the real world, we'd love to hear from you.
