Senior DevOps Engineer
Salary: Up to £75,000
Location: Manchester City Centre
Maxwell Bond have partnered with a fast-growing technology business who are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Manchester based team.
This is a pivotal role working closely with senior technical leaders and the wider engineering team. You'll take ownership of the AWS infrastructure supporting a growing technology platform, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, reliable and cost-efficient as the business continues to grow.
What you'll do as Senior DevOps Engineer:
- Own and evolve the AWS infrastructure across production and non-production environments, managing ECS/Fargate, EC2, VPC, CloudFront, Route 53, IAM and AWS WAF.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of complex infrastructure and production issues, troubleshooting across containers, networking, databases, and more, identifying root causes and improving platform reliability.
- Improve monitoring, logging, alerting and incident response processes, introducing proactive observability, operational runbooks and stronger disaster recovery procedures.
- Drive infrastructure automation through Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD, reducing manual changes and improving deployment consistency, rollback processes and operational maturity.

What They're Looking For:
- 6+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or Cloud Infrastructure, with strong hands-on experience running production AWS workloads under significant load.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services and proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD, using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Bitbucket Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
- Strong understanding of database performance, caching, asynchronous workloads and production incident response, with the ability to troubleshoot across infrastructure, application and data layers.
