Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to be embedded with our customer, working closely with their engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. You will partner with the customer's stakeholders to drive DevOps best practices, automation, and continuous improvement. This role requires 3 days per month on-site at the customer's West London office and offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on a high-performing organization while leveraging your expertise in AWS, Terraform, and modern DevOps tooling.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code principles with Terraform, working in close collaboration with the customer's engineering teams
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and GitHub-based workflows to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery for the customer's applications
- Lead infrastructure automation initiatives that reduce manual overhead and improve operational efficiency across the customer's systems
- Oversee cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization strategies in partnership with the customer's security and finance teams
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, providing technical guidance and knowledge transfer to the customer's operations staff
- Drive monitoring, logging, and observability improvements to enhance visibility into the customer's production environments
- Collaborate with the customer's stakeholders to plan capacity, scalability, and disaster recovery initiatives

Required Experience
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations roles
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform
- Proficiency with GitHub for version control and CI/CD pipeline management
- Demonstrated experience designing and maintaining highly available, scalable cloud systems
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as an embedded member of the customer's technical organization
Desirable Skills
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Background in aviation, aerospace, or regulated industries
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code best practices and GitOps workflows
