Senior DevOps Engineer
Rate: Up to £350 a day inside IR35
Clearance: Active SC Clearance required
Location: Leeds, with frequent travel to Newcastle, Manchester, Sheffield, Peel Park, Blackpool
We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to develop and support modern cloud-based platforms and DevOps toolchains.
You will use modern tooling to build CI/CD pipelines, automate processes, and deliver highly available, resilient, scalable, and maintainable solutions across multiple cloud environments.
Working across product-focused teams, you will help drive an engineering culture focused on automation, ownership, service integrity, and continuous improvement.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains, with automation at the heart of delivery.
- Design, implement, and support highly available and scalable cloud solutions.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure and Configuration as Code.
- Provision and manage cloud environments.
- Evaluate and implement appropriate tools and technologies.
- Support operational issues and troubleshoot production environments.
- Work with product teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Contribute to Agile delivery using Scrum/Kanban and DevOps practices.
- Support the migration of legacy applications to cloud environments.
- Promote engineering ownership, automation, and continuous improvement.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong experience developing and supporting AWS cloud applications, particularly EC2 and ECS.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong Unix/Linux/Windows experience in development and/or support environments.
- Scripting experience using languages such as Bash, Shell, or Python.
- Experience developing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.
- Experience working in Agile DevOps / Software or Platform Engineering environments.
- Experience migrating legacy applications to cloud environments.
- Active SC Clearance is essential.
