Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer (Azure | Kubernetes | Terraform)

📍 Colchester (Hybrid - 3 Days in Office) 💰 Competitive Salary + Benefits 📅Permanent Role

We're working with a rapidly growing technology business that's investing heavily in its engineering platform and cloud capabilities. They're looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to help build the infrastructure, automation, and tooling that enables development teams to deliver software faster, more reliably, and at scale.

If you enjoy Kubernetes, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and solving complex engineering challenges, this is an opportunity to influence how an engineering organization operates for years to come.

What you'll be doing

You'll work alongside Software Engineers, SREs, and Security teams to build and evolve a modern cloud platform that removes friction for developers and improves software delivery.

  • Designing and improving Kubernetes-based platforms
  • Building Internal Developer Platform (IDP) capabilities
  • Developing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Managing Azure cloud infrastructure
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
  • Driving GitOps adoption and engineering best practices
  • Improving platform reliability, security, scalability, and performance
  • Building self-service tooling and reusable platform components
  • Creating "golden paths" that help developers ship software more efficiently
  • Contributing to observability, monitoring, and resilience engineering initiatives

Requirements

You'll have experience (minimum 4 years) in a Platform Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or SRE role and be comfortable working across modern cloud technologies.
