Senior DevOps Engineer

Remote First | Occasional Meet-Ups in Bristol or London | Up to £100,000

Are you a DevOps Engineer who is already embracing AI as part of your daily workflow? We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help shape and scale a modern, API-first platform operating within a highly regulated environment. This is an opportunity to have genuine influence over cloud architecture, engineering standards, automation strategy and platform reliability, whilst working on critical financial technology infrastructure.

What makes this role different is the organisation's commitment to AI-assisted engineering. AI isn't an experiment here; it's embedded into the way teams build, automate, troubleshoot and deliver software. We're looking for someone excited by that future and keen to push the boundaries of what's possible.

The Opportunity

You'll play a key role in evolving a cloud-native platform, helping to build secure, scalable and highly resilient infrastructure while driving automation across the engineering function. Working closely with software engineers and technical leadership, you'll champion DevOps best practices and help create an environment where development teams can move faster, safer and more efficiently.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Owning and evolving cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments
  • Designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code standards
  • Building and optimising CI/CD pipelines
  • Improving platform reliability, observability and operational excellence
  • Driving automation and DevOps best practices across engineering teams
  • Leading incident response, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Implementing monitoring, logging and alerting solutions
  • Ensuring cloud infrastructure meets security, governance and compliance requirements
  • Supporting high-availability, disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives
  • Integrating AI tooling into engineering workflows as a natural part of day-to-day delivery
  • Mentoring and supporting engineers on cloud and platform engineering best practices

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
