Senior DevOps Engineer
A scaling technology business based in Aberdeen is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help design, build, and support secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong Azure, DevOps, automation, and platform reliability experience. You will take ownership of cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, containerised workloads, monitoring, security, and operational best practice.
You’ll work closely with software engineering, security, and operations teams to improve deployment processes, strengthen cloud governance, and support the continued growth of a modern technology platform.

- Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure cloud environments
- Build secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
- Support containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS
- Implement monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and incident response processes
- Apply Azure security, governance, identity, and compliance best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cloud strategy and technical standards
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years’ experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
- 3+ years’ hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Terraform, AKS, and YAML pipelines
- Good scripting ability using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bash, or Python
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, identity, and governance
- Experience across Windows Server and Linux environments
- Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Kubernetes certifications would be beneficial but are not essential.
