About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Security Engineer / DevSecOps to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in embedding security practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with engineering, architecture, and cloud teams to design, implement, and maintain secure software solutions. The role requires a proactive security mindset, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to influence best practices across multiple teams. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud security, automation, and modern development workflows, contributing to the organization’s goal of delivering secure and resilient applications.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in application security and DevSecOps practices, with proven experience in cloud environments, particularly Azure. A strong understanding of security tools such as Kusto Query Language (KQL), CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, API security, Software Composition Analysis (SCA), Interactive Application Security Testing (IAST), and security-as-code principles is essential. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or DevSecOps certifications are advantageous. The candidate should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, and strong communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security strategies across the SDLC, ensuring security is integrated at every stage of software development and deployment.
- Work closely with engineering and architecture teams to design secure cloud architectures and infrastructure, primarily focusing on Azure cloud services.
- Automate security controls and compliance checks using security-as-code methodologies, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous security assurance.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate security risks in applications and infrastructure.
- Implement and manage API security protocols, ensuring secure communication and data protection across all interfaces.
- Utilize SCA and IAST tools to analyze third-party components and code for security vulnerabilities, ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to promote security awareness and best practices, providing guidance and training on secure coding standards.
- Monitor security alerts, respond to incidents, and continuously improve security defenses to protect organizational assets.
- Stay updated on emerging security threats, industry trends, and new security technologies, recommending enhancements as needed.
