The Job Profile
Simon & Schuster UK is looking for a commercially minded and data-led Senior Digital Commerce & Content Manager to help develop our direct relationship with readers.
Reporting into Group Digital Transformation and Innovation Director, the Senior Digital Commerce & Content Manager will develop and manage compelling, performance-led content across Simon & Schuster UK’s website, email programme and direct-to-consumer channels.
The Job Role
The Senior Digital Commerce & Content Manager will work with the Digital Transformation & Innovation Director to support the launch of direct-to-consumer sales through the Simon & Schuster website and TikTok Shop, coordinating activity across publishing, marketing, sales, digital teams and external partners to ensure successful delivery. They will lead the planning and optimisation of website and email content, developing promotional calendars, selecting titles and campaigns, preparing briefs for the central email team, and curating products and promotions for TikTok Shop, including opportunities for exclusive editions. Using website, email and sales data, they will evaluate performance, identify opportunities for improvement and make practical recommendations, while establishing sustainable processes for managing website content, email marketing, TikTok Shop and exclusive-edition activity beyond the initial launch.

The Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising or a similar role, with a proven track record of managing content across multiple channels and driving conversion to sales. You will combine strong editorial and commercial judgement with confidence using performance data to identify trends and make practical recommendations.
You will have excellent project management, organisational and communication skills, alongside strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience using content management systems is required, while knowledge of Shopify, TikTok Shop and the publishing, books, media or retail sectors would be advantageous.

Salary:
Starting from £43,000
