Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Role

ITN’s fledgling Digital division is seeking an experienced development producer with a strong background in production and development.

We want someone bursting with ideas, good relationships across podcast and video, and a hunger to see productions through end to end. Within a team, the role will originate new ideas, win business, and then go on to ensure productions are delivered to budget.

As well as winning new business, we’ll expect the person to have a strong understanding of digital-first content, how the backend of YouTube and other platforms function, and be willing to learn how to engage viewers on these platforms in a data-led team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Content to originate, develop, and deliver pitch-ready ideas for a range of platforms across podcast and video
  • Develop ideas for our internal distribution platforms on YouTube, Facebook, and Spotify and grow audiences across our brands
  • Work closely with senior editorial stakeholders to develop projects with the Director of Digital’s editorial priorities and audience strategy
  • Develop ideas with strong digital and multiplatform potential, optimising reach and impact across online platforms
  • Provide editorial guidance, feedback, and leadership throughout development, from early concept through to greenlight-ready pitches
  • Ensure all development work meets ITN Productions’ high standards of accuracy, due impartiality, compliance, and duty of care
