The Opportunity
As our North American presence continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced, engaging, and highly motivated Senior Digital Forensics Trainer to join our growing global training team and hit the ground running with a hunger to enhance Detego Global training offerings.
This is far more than a traditional training role. As a Senior Digital Forensics Trainer, you will become a recognised subject matter expert and trusted advisor, delivering world-class training, certification programmes, and customer enablement initiatives across law enforcement, military, intelligence, government, and enterprise sectors.
You will play a key role in helping customers maximise the value of Detego technology through exceptional training experiences, practical guidance, and operational expertise. Beyond course delivery, you will help shape the future direction of Detego Global's worldwide training strategy, certification pathways, learning content, and customer success initiatives. You will work closely with Product Management, Professional Services, Sales, Technical Sales, Customer Support, and the Senior Management Team to ensure customers achieve exceptional outcomes from their investment in Detego solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Deliver instructor-led training courses both remotely and onsite.
- Deliver official Detego Global certification programmes across the product portfolio.
- Facilitate practical exercises, workshops, and hands-on investigative scenarios.
- Adapt training delivery to audiences ranging from frontline investigators to senior leadership.
- Deliver specialist training in:
- Mobile Device Forensics
- Computer and Digital Media Forensics
- Digital Evidence Acquisition
- Digital Evidence Processing
- Evidence Analysis and Reporting
- Laboratory and Field-Based Investigations
- DFIR Methodologies
- Intelligence Gathering
- Digital Forensics Best Practices
Curriculum & Certification Development
- Design, develop, and maintain engaging training curricula and courseware.
- Create practical exercises, examination content, and certification pathways.
- Develop customer-focused learning journeys and enablement programmes.
- Continuously improve training materials using customer, partner, and internal feedback.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Detego Global Certification Programme.
Content Creation & Knowledge Sharing
- Produce webinars, instructional videos, tutorials, and educational content.
- Develop on-demand learning resources for customers and partners.
- Create knowledge base articles and best-practice guidance.
- Support marketing and customer success initiatives through educational thought leadership content.
Customer Engagement & Success
- Deliver customer workshops, enablement sessions, and Train-the-Trainer programmes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers following training delivery.
- Support customer adoption, operational readiness, and successful deployment outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with strategic accounts and key stakeholders.
- Gather customer feedback and operational insights to support product improvement.

Sales, Technical Sales & Industry Engagement
A key part of this role is supporting business growth and customer engagement across North America.
You will:
- Support Sales and Technical Sales teams during customer engagements.
- Participate in product demonstrations, technical presentations, proof-of-concept activities, and workshops.
- Attend conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, and customer events as a Detego Global representative.
- Present Detego capabilities to prospective customers and industry stakeholders.
- Provide subject matter expertise during customer evaluations and procurement activities.
- Help position Detego as a recognised leader within the digital forensics and investigative technology community.
Building the Future of the Detego Global Training Programme
The right candidate will play a significant role in helping shape the future of learning and development within Detego Global.
You will:
- Help build, improve, refine, and enhance the Detego Global Training Programme.
- Contribute to the development of new training methodologies, certification pathways, and learning technologies.
- Identify opportunities to modernise and scale training delivery globally.
- Support the creation of new specialist courses and advanced certification tracks.
- Drive continuous improvement through innovation, customer feedback, and measurable outcomes.
- Become an integral part of Detego Global's long-term training strategy and organisational growth.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Sales, Technical Sales, Marketing, and Support teams.
- Provide structured feedback to Product Management based on customer requirements and operational experience.
- Assist in mentoring and developing future trainers as the team expands.
- Support cross-functional initiatives that improve customer experience and product adoption.
Essential Requirements
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Digital Forensics, DFIR, eDiscovery, Intelligence, Cyber Investigations, Incident Response, or a related field.
- Proven experience delivering technical training, coaching, mentoring, or instructional programmes.
- Strong understanding of digital forensic methodologies, workflows, and best practices.
Professional Skills
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
- Comfortable presenting to audiences ranging from operational investigators to senior executives.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Ability to manage travel schedules, training equipment, and customer commitments effectively.
- Passion for helping others learn, develop, and succeed.

Travel Requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the USA and internationally.
- Valid US driver's license.
- Valid passport.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- Existing knowledge of Detego products and solutions.
- Experience with one or more of:
- Cellebrite
- Magnet AXIOM
- MSAB XRY
- Oxygen Forensics
- FTK
- EnCase
- OpenText
- Courtroom or expert witness experience.
- Security clearance (current or previously held).
- Learning or instructional design qualifications.
- Experience building certification programmes and examinations.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
