Role Description
The Senior Digital Learning Officer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining high-quality online learning resources that advance bumblebee conservation knowledge and engagement. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Developing digital courses, webinars, and e-learning modules;
- Creating accessible educational content for diverse audiences;
- Managing learning platforms and tools.

The role involves collaborating with subject-matter experts to translate complex ecological and conservation topics into clear, user-friendly learning experiences, and monitoring analytics to evaluate and improve digital learning offerings. The Senior Digital Learning Officer will also support stakeholder engagement, provide guidance on best practices in digital education, and contribute to the Trust’s broader communication and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in digital learning design and development, including creating online courses, e-learning modules, and multimedia educational materials.
- Strong skills in using learning management systems (LMS), webinar platforms, and other digital education tools, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize user experience.
- Background in education, instructional design, environmental science, conservation, or a related field, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-specialist audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create engaging, accurate, and accessible content for different age groups and learning levels.
- Proven project management skills, including planning, prioritizing, and delivering multiple digital learning projects to deadlines while working remotely.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners, with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to inclusive, respectful working practices.
- Knowledge or strong interest in ecology, biodiversity, pollinator conservation, or environmental sustainability, and willingness to deepen expertise in bumblebee conservation.
- Proficiency with common office and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, online collaboration platforms) and basic data analysis or reporting skills for monitoring learning outcomes.
