About the Role

This is a strong next step for a Digital Marketing Executive who is ready to move into a senior role with more ownership, greater client exposure and the opportunity to influence digital strategy.

You’ll join an established creative and digital marketing agency with an experienced team across web, design, social and creative. The agency works with a varied mix of B2B and B2C clients, giving you exposure to different audiences, commercial challenges and campaign objectives.

SEO and Google Ads will be your main areas of expertise, but your working week will be broader than search alone. You could move from reviewing campaign performance and improving a landing page to shaping a content plan or collaborating with the creative team on a new client brief.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of digital activity across a portfolio of clients, supporting them from initial planning and onboarding through to delivery, optimisation and reporting.

This isn’t an account management role where the technical work is passed to another team. You’ll be the person working directly in the campaigns, identifying opportunities and making improvements.

Your role will include:

  • Developing SEO strategies across technical, on-page and content activity
  • Creating, managing and improving Google Ads campaigns
  • Planning and optimising website content, landing pages and blogs through WordPress
  • Using GA4, Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager to understand performance
  • Turning data into clear recommendations that clients can act on
  • Working with colleagues across the agency to deliver joined-up campaigns

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll build direct relationships with clients, helping them understand what is working and identifying opportunities to strengthen their wider digital activity. You’ll also have the chance to contribute ideas as the agency continues to develop its digital services.

What we’re looking for

You’ll probably have around three years of digital marketing experience and be ready to show examples of SEO and paid search campaigns you have personally delivered.

You may currently be working as a Digital Marketing Executive and feel ready for a step up in title, responsibility and client exposure. You could also be working in a more specialised SEO or PPC role but be keen to broaden your experience across digital marketing.

The most important things are:

  • Proven, hands-on experience across SEO and Google Ads
  • Confidence working with WordPress and digital analytics tools
  • The ability to connect campaign performance with leads, conversions and commercial results
  • A technical and detail-focused approach, balanced with clear client communication
  • The organisation to manage several accounts and priorities at once

Broader experience across email marketing, paid social, content or conversion optimisation would be useful, but you won’t need to tick every box. More importantly, you’ll be curious about how digital marketing and search are evolving and keen to bring new ideas to both clients and the wider agency.

Recruiter’s Thoughts

Ben Phillips is managing this role and says:

“What stands out to me is the opportunity to take a genuine step forward without moving away from the hands-on side of digital marketing. You’ll have an experienced team around you, but you’ll also be trusted to take ownership, work directly with clients and see the impact of your ideas. If you’re currently a Digital Marketing Executive with strong SEO and paid search experience, this feels like a really good opportunity to move into a senior role and broaden your influence.”
