About Right Formula
At Right Formula, we enable brands to push the limits of sports marketing through a unique blend of expertise, ingenuity and agility that we call the Right Formula. Our complete 360-degree service offering takes brands from partnership identification through to the delivery of fully integrated marketing strategies. With offices in the UK and the US, we support clients worldwide, helping them to accelerate growth through the power of sport.
Role Overview
Sponsors invest in sport to be seen, understood and remembered. The mechanics of how that happens have moved: fans and stakeholders discover, form opinions and make decisions across platforms, feeds, search, AI assistants and brand-owned destinations.
This role determines how our clients' sponsorship assets traverse that broad landscape. It covers three connected disciplines: Discovery, Platforms and Distribution, and Amplification. It exists to make our clients' partnerships measurably more visible and more persuasive in the places fans and stakeholders actually are.
This is not a media buying role. We are not competing with global media agencies on trading, footprint or rates. This role owns the strategy and operations of distribution, briefs client media agencies where relevant, and holds a narrow, fast-moving amplification budget for moment-driven activity.
Key Responsibilities
Discovery: Visibility in Search and AI Answers
- Own how our clients appear when fans, media and commercial audiences seek information about the sports, teams, drivers, players and events our clients sponsor. This role will own discoverability of “partnership assets in sport context”, not general brand or product search.
- Build and maintain processes and systems that determine how AI assistants and answer engines surface partnership information, and where clients are absent, misattributed or misrepresented.
- Audit and improve the structured, verifiable information about client partnerships that these systems draw on — rightsholder properties, partner listings, press assets and credible third-party sources.
- Establish a repeatable audit method and baseline for client accounts, and report movement against it at an agreed cadence.
- Advise creative and content teams on how assets and copy should be structured so they are legible to both people and machines.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
This is a growing discipline. The role is expected to build the methodology, not inherit it, and to be candid about what can and cannot yet be evidenced.
Platforms and Distribution
- Own the systems, access and operating rhythm through which client content reaches audiences.
- Set the distribution strategy for clients’ content calendars: where content publishes, in what format, in what sequence, and the strategic objectives it supports.
- Analyse in-flight performance and advise on optimisation of live activity, with clear recommendations that change what gets published next.
- Expand and maintain the reporting infrastructure the department and our clients rely on, working to the measurement framework set by Strategy.
- Own platform and rights compliance in distribution, including the constraints attached to trackside and live footage, and act as the department’s authority on what can be published where.
- Maintain first-party fan data capture and its governance where client contracts permit.
Amplification
- Own paid activity that extends the reach of owned and creator content around partnership moments.
- Plan and run moment-triggered amplification, activating paid support behind content that is performing or behind time-sensitive partnership moments.
- Own the amplification budget end to end — forecasting, allocation, in-flight reallocation and post-campaign accountability.
- Where clients hold global media agency relationships, brief and quality-assure those partners on sport-context activity, providing the calendar intelligence, rights guidance and audience insight they lack.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Substantial experience running organic and paid distribution across major social and search platforms, with genuine hands-on platform depth rather than oversight-only exposure.
- Demonstrable ownership of a paid budget, including in-flight decision-making and post-campaign accountability.
- Strong analytical capability: comfortable in platform analytics and reporting tools, able to build a dashboard as well as read one, and able to distinguish a real signal from a flattering number.
- Confident working within rights and compliance constraints, and able to explain them clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Credible in front of clients, and able to hold a position under pressure from client-side and agency stakeholders.
- Comfortable operating in territory that is not yet defined, and honest about the limits of what can currently be proven.
