We’re seeking an exceptional Senior Digital PR Account Director to join our team, offering the opportunity to own the strategy, quality, and delivery of digital PR across a portfolio of Tank’s key accounts. You will act as a senior specialist lead for digital PR, ensuring our work delivers directly against client search and commercial objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership and ownership of digital PR strategies across allocated accounts, translating search objectives into creative campaigns, data-led activity, and reactive opportunities.
  • End-to-end digital PR campaign oversight, ensuring delivery meets agreed objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborating directly with the SEO team to ensure digital PR activity drives link equity, organic visibility, and search performance.
  • Working with account leads to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and cross-sell services.
  • Leading the digital PR element of new business pitches, proposals, and presentations alongside Commercial and Client Services teams.
  • Ensuring digital PR campaigns operate within agreed scope, resource, and profitability parameters.
  • Evolving Tank’s digital PR proposition and methodologies in partnership with the senior leadership team.
  • Providing senior sign-off on digital PR strategies, campaign concepts, data, and client-facing outputs.
  • Day-to-day leadership, coaching, and mentorship of digital PR delivery teams to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Maintaining a targeted level of billable delivery, leading complex campaigns, strategic projects, and high-value media outreach.

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in a senior digital PR role within an agency environment, leading high-impact campaigns and link acquisition strategies.
  • Deep understanding of organic search, SEO metrics, and how digital PR integrates with search performance.
  • Proven track record in senior client handling and leading pitch processes to win new business.
  • Strong team leadership and mentoring capabilities, with experience developing skills across account teams and specialists.
  • Exceptional strategic vision, editorial mindset, and data-driven approach to campaign creation.
  • Commercial acumen with a strong grasp of scoping, resourcing, and account profitability.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with an ability to communicate complex search and PR concepts clearly.
  • A proactive, growth-oriented mindset capable of thriving in a fast-paced agency environment.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in our Manchester office with two days WFH and three days in the office.

Starting salary: £46,000 + depending on experience
