Job Description: Senior Direct Response Designer

We are recruiting on behalf of a high-growth e-commerce business seeking an elite Senior Direct Response Designer to create performance-driven advertising creative for high-budget D2C brands.

This is not a traditional video editing or graphic design role. The primary objective is to create ads that drive sales, with creative performance measured through data, ROI, and revenue.

The successful candidate will have 5–10 years of direct response e-commerce advertising experience and understand how to create, analyze, and iterate creative based on actual advertising performance.

If you're primarily an aesthetic designer rather than a performance-driven creative, this role will not be the right fit.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Response Creative

  • Create high-performing direct response advertisements for e-commerce and D2C brands.
  • Develop creative concepts designed to capture attention and drive action.
  • Create strong hooks that immediately engage the viewer.
  • Edit advertisements with fast, precise cuts optimized for attention, product demonstration, and conversion.
  • Adapt creative based on campaign objectives and performance.
  • Produce a variety of advertising concepts and creative iterations at speed.
  • Continuously improve creative based on what is actually driving sales.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
