About The Role
The Senior Director, Business Development is responsible for driving revenue growth, with a strong focus on channel selling through clinical CROs.
A core part of this role is building and managing strategic relationships with CRO partners to position Qureight as a preferred imaging provider within their clinical trial programmes. This includes developing long-term partnerships, embedding Qureight’s services within CRO offerings, and generating repeat business through these channels.
The role also manages selected large biopharma accounts directly and supports new enterprise business development. The Senior Director works alongside another Director, Business Development, to ensure clear account ownership and coordinated coverage across key customers. The role also partners closely with the Proposals Manager, who leads proposal coordination and submission.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Delivery
- Deliver against annual sales targets
- Drive growth within CRO and large accounts
- Lead complex commercial discussions through to contract signature
CRO & Large Account Management
- Develop and execute clear account plans for key CRO and large biopharma customers
- Build strong relationships with senior commercial, clinical and procurement contacts
- Identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Position Qureight as a preferred imaging partner
- Support long-term agreements and preferred supplier status

Pipeline Management
- Build and maintain a strong, accurate sales pipeline
- Ensure pipeline coverage supports revenue targets
- Identify risks early and take action to manage them
- Use CRM and available data tools to support planning and forecasting
New Business Development
- Identify and prioritise new CRO and large account targets
- Develop clear engagement plans for new prospects
- Lead early discussions and qualification of opportunities
Bid & Proposal Strategy
- Work closely with the Proposals Manager
- Lead the commercial approach and account strategy for key opportunities
- Shape the value message and pricing approach
- Support internal review and approval processes
The Proposals Manager leads proposal coordination and submission.
Cross-Functional Working
- Work closely with Clinical, Operations, Science, Product and Finance teams
- Ensure customer expectations align with operational delivery
- Share client feedback to support service improvements
Other Duties
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as required
Requirements
Experience
- Experience selling imaging or clinical services to biopharma and/or CROs
- Strong experience managing large, complex accounts
- Proven track record of delivering revenue against a plan
- Experience working in regulated environments (pharma, hospital or CRO preferred)
Skills
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Confident handling complex commercial discussions
- Able to manage long sales cycles
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint essential)
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Team player who collaborates effectively across functions

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, life sciences or related field
- Fluent English
