The Role
We are searching for a Senior Director of eCommerce to lead the full digital commerce ecosystem across our cluster, spanning Amazon, retailer.com, pure-play marketplaces, and DTC and TikTok Shop. This is a leadership role with full commercial P&L ownership and a business development and transformation role for the cluster.
The role sits on the Northern Europe Leadership team, reporting to the General Manager with a dotted line to Global eCommerce. With Amazon EU centralized, this leader partners with the center on Amazon but drives pure-plays, retailer.com, and DTC/ TTS, which represents the majority of the cluster's addressable digital opportunity. It requires someone who hunts new growth and can hold the digital agenda at leadership-team level.
We're looking for a change agent and operator, fluent in Amazon and digital retail, with a sharp commercial mindset, a genuine consumer lens, and a track record of scaling businesses through data-driven execution and exceptional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic and operational delivery of the eCommerce business across Amazon, retailer.com (Boots, LookFantastic, and equivalent chains), pure-play, and DTC.
- Own the P&L outright — net revenue, margin, and investment ROI — and set direction and standards across the cluster markets.
- Serve as the digital voice on the leadership team, shaping investment, activation, and channel strategy alongside GM, Marketing, and Finance peers.
- Drive pure-play and marketplace growth as a strategic channel by shifting into an activation mode that brings in Amazon and other global learnings to drive the business.
- Build customized retailer.com strategies to strengthen digital shelf, boost conversion, and align with joint business planning.
- Maintain Amazon fluency and partnership with the centralized EU Amazon team; ensure the cluster is represented in Amazon strategy even where the P&L sits centrally.
- Own DTC long-range plan for the brands in partnership with the Global team. Accelerating what exists and owning the consumer journey through the lens of DTC.
- Build a strategy and plan to capture more 1P data and activation plan on CRM.
- Direct performance media across paid search, DSP, and retail media with a focus on ROAS optimization across all channels and champion this at the LT level.
- Shape TikTok Shop and social commerce strategy as a growth frontier for the cluster.
- Build and develop the cluster eCommerce team; set the operating model across cluster markets.
- Coordinate across markets without always holding direct authority; deploy playbooks and lift standards on data, content, and ops hygiene.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
