Position Overview
The Sr Finance Director - International is a pivotal leadership role within Global Finance and the International commercial team, based in London. This position oversees financial strategy, reporting, and demand planning across the International regions including EMEA and APAC. This role acts as the primary finance resource for the VP International, providing forward-looking insights and guidance to influence strategic decisions and resource prioritization to accelerate the next era of growth for Metagenics.
The Sr Finance Director - International leads a team of Financial Commercial Controllers / Business Partners supporting market regions, emphasizing sustainable and profitable growth, strategic alignment against the growth drivers that matter most, and process improvements through technology. Additionally, the role is at the forefront of driving a data-driven culture, fostering standardization in monthly reporting, and ensuring discussions focus on actionable insights rather than historical reporting. This role is ideal for a dynamic finance professional eager to drive impactful results in a collaborative, fast-paced and high growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of Financial Commercial Controllers / Business Partners, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
- Serve as the primary finance partner to the VP International, offering strategic guidance and actionable insights to influence decisions.
- Build a high-performing finance function that supports the International Area with forward-looking, strategic financial insights.
- Act as a key member of the International Leadership Team, challenging assumptions and providing financial insight to support strategic business decisions.
- Integral member of the CFO’s global finance/technology/transformation leadership team, with a mandate of making the tradeoffs needed to prioritize the most important strategic and financial accelerators of the business.

Financial Strategy and Demand Planning
- Accountable for delivering financial insights and recommendations that support achievement of revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, working capital and forecast accuracy targets across the International Area.
- Lead monthly forecasting process, including Long-Range Plans (LRP) and Annual Operating Plans (AOP), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Oversee and drive demand planning processes across market regions, marketing, and innovation teams, to align with business objectives and support the global Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
- Collaborate with Financial Business Partners to develop and refine accurate, forward-looking demand forecasts that anticipate risks and opportunities.
- Lead the commercial finance agenda around pricing, mix management, customer profitability and revenue growth management, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth across international markets.
Driving a Data-Driven, ROI-Focused Culture
- Champion the adoption of data-driven decision-making across the finance team and the broader organization.
- Standardize monthly reporting across regions to ensure consistency, clarity, and forward-looking actionable insights.
- Lead governance of commercial and marketing investments, ensuring robust business cases, financial discipline and clear return on investment.
- Leverage predictive analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) tools to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency, enabling proactive decision-making.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility in all financial processes.
Process Innovation and Operational Excellence
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance financial processes using technology and automation.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to ensure scalability and effectiveness of financial operations.
- Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress against strategic objectives and address deviations proactively.
- Oversee cost management, inventory control, and budget alignment to support strategic priorities and decision-making agility.

Management of Month-End Close Process
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of the monthly financial close process across the International Area, aligning with global accounting standards and policies.
- Monthly Executive Leadership Presentations: Prepare and deliver monthly financial updates to executive and senior leadership, providing insights into performance, trends, and actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Financial Process Improvements: Identify, lead, and implement opportunities to enhance financial processes, leveraging automation and best practices to drive efficiency and scalability across the EMEA region.
Ad Hoc and Strategic Projects
- Lead financial initiatives and projects as assigned by executive management, delivering comprehensive and forward-looking analyses.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business goals and drive impactful results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree preferred (MBA, CFA).
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including significant exposure to commercial finance, FP&A and business partnering in multinational environments.
- Experience across both APAC and EMEA preferred, not mandatory.
- Digital Commerce experience across Marketplace and DTC channels, in addition to Retail, highly beneficial.
- Experience supporting sales, marketing and commercial leadership teams across multiple international markets.
- Expertise in ERP systems and BI tools such as Power BI.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills with a track record of cross-functional partnership.
- Experience in demand planning and leveraging technology for process improvements.
