Reporting to ERM enterprise Head of AI, this role will be pivotal in shaping how ERM adopts, scales, and governs AI technologies, while identifying opportunities for automation, tooling, digital transformation, and new AI-enabled service offerings.

Working closely with business leaders, technology teams, and external partners, you will lead the identification, prioritization, and delivery of AI and automation initiatives, establish the operating model and governance required for responsible AI adoption, and ensure investments deliver measurable commercial and operational value across ERM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise AI Adoption & Productivity: Own the scaling and adoption of enterprise AI capabilities across ERM, including AI tools, the internal micro-application marketplace, purchased and custom-built enterprise applications, and productivity technologies that automate current-state workflows, improve quality, and enhance operating margin.
  • AI-Led Service Innovation: Reimagine ERM's client services using an AI-first mindset, identifying and developing new AI-enabled solutions, products, and offerings that create differentiated client value, strengthen competitive positioning, and generate new revenue streams.
  • AI Strategy, Governance & Operating Model: Define and lead ERM's AI strategy, operating model, and governance framework, ensuring technology platforms, data, standards, controls, and delivery teams are aligned to support secure, responsible, and scalable AI deployment.
  • Opportunity Pipeline & Investment Management: Establish and manage the enterprise AI opportunity pipeline from ideation and prioritization through business case development, investment decisions, implementation, and benefits realization, ensuring resources are focused on initiatives with the greatest strategic and commercial impact.
  • Build vs. Buy vs. Partner Strategy: Determine the most effective solution approach for each AI and automation use case, balancing internal development, commercial solutions, and strategic partnerships to optimize speed, scalability, cost, and business value.
  • Vendor & Partner Ecosystem Leadership: Develop and manage ERM's external AI ecosystem, identifying and leveraging strategic technology partners, platforms, and service providers to accelerate capability development and value delivery.
  • Commercialisation & Value Creation: Partner with business leaders to influence AI-enabled products, services, pricing strategies, and commercial offerings that translate AI capability into measurable business growth and market differentiation.
  • Organisational Mobilisation & Upskilling: Lead and coordinate AI delivery teams, including AI Forward Engineers, digital champions, and service innovation teams, while driving enterprise-wide AI capability building, education, and cultural adoption across client-facing and operational teams.
  • Automation & Technology Transformation: Lead discovery and assessment activities across functions to identify high-impact opportunities for automation, AI deployment, workflow optimization, and operating model improvements.
  • Adoption, Change Management & Value Realisation: Drive organizational adoption of AI solutions through structured change management, capability building, and stakeholder engagement, while establishing metrics and reporting to track usage, benefits, and return on investment.
  • Business Case Development & Performance Tracking: Quantify efficiency gains, revenue opportunities, quality improvements, and risk reduction benefits, providing data-driven recommendations and performance insights to senior leadership.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
