Senior Director of FP&A

Position Overview

Our client, a rapidly growing healthcare delivery services organization, is seeking a Senior Director of FP&A to serve as a key strategic partner to the CFO and executive leadership team. This individual will lead the company's financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analytics functions while providing actionable insights that drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence across a multi-site healthcare platform.

The VP of FP&A will play a critical role in supporting strategic initiatives, developing scalable reporting processes, analyzing key operational and financial metrics, and enhancing decision-making capabilities throughout the organization. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's annual budgeting, long-range planning, and rolling forecast processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic, operational, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to evaluate financial performance and identify opportunities for growth and margin improvement.
  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and key performance metric reporting.
  • Analyze revenue trends, reimbursement performance, patient volumes, provider productivity, labor utilization, and operating margins.
  • Create dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights across clinical, operational, and financial functions.
  • Lead enterprise-wide KPI development and performance measurement initiatives.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, integration efforts, and new service line evaluations through financial modeling and due diligence.
  • Collaborate with operations leaders to improve forecasting accuracy and drive accountability for performance results.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, capital planning, and return-on-investment analysis for strategic initiatives.
  • Present financial results, forecasts, and business recommendations to senior leadership, private equity sponsors, and the Board of Directors.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance reporting efficiency, business intelligence capabilities, and overall financial visibility.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant FP&A leadership experience.
  • Healthcare services, healthcare delivery, physician practice management, behavioral health, home healthcare, or multi-site healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting executive leadership teams in a high-growth or private equity-backed environment.
  • Strong financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Experience developing operational and financial KPI reporting frameworks.
  • Advanced Excel and financial planning systems experience; familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence business decisions through financial analysis and strategic insight.

Base Salary

$200,000-230,000

Hybrid

Must be able to go to the office when needed. Must be a U.S. citizen - no relocation
