About the role:

In this role you will be responsible for driving new business income into BCD M&E. Sourcing new opportunities and identifying new revenue streams, whilst actively promoting our sales strategy internally. Through collaboration with the VP – Sales Solution, build your own strategy and growth plan to drive new business targets and evolve service offering across the business in line with business and client expectations.

This role will predominately target growth within Venues search and Meetings Management lines of business (LOBs), but also manage a team selling across all business areas. This will involve close collaboration with the LOB leaders to ensure new business is aligned with their overall vision. The position is targeting revenue into the UK, but with a need to work on global and multinational bids where clients are based in local market.

  • Develop and execute annual sales strategies aligned to new business growth objectives.
  • Build, manage, and maintain strategic target accounts and a qualified new business pipeline to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Leadership and day to day management of the new business sales ‘hunters’. Ensure the team develop the appropriate sales plans and sales pipelines to meet the set targets and deliver on growth plans, whilst also ensuring that any contracts with existing clients are commercially sound.
  • Identify market opportunities, industry trends, and client challenges to shape proactive sales strategies.
  • Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, events, partnerships, thought leadership, and marketing activity.
  • Build strong relationships with senior decision-makers and key buying influencers.
  • Lead discovery conversations and solution ideation workshops to develop compelling, client-focused value propositions.
  • Partner with creative, production, technology, delegate management, and Experience Design teams to develop winning solutions, proposals, and pitches.
  • Complete Go/No-Go assessments, bid strategy, and the management of complex RFPs, tenders, and pitch opportunities.
  • Embed client insight and voice-of-customer feedback into sales strategies, presentations, and proposals.

You’re good at:

  • Leading commercial negotiations and support contracting processes.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM reporting, pipeline governance, and compliance with sales processes and tools.
  • Conducting win/loss analysis and share insights to strengthen future sales performance.
  • Ensuring successful handover of won business to operational teams.
  • Representing The Collective at industry events, networking forums, webinars, client events, and marketing campaigns as a brand ambassador and thought leader.
  • Working alongside other Sales and Account management personnel to ensure any cross sell/upsell opportunities are maximised

  • Our standard working hours are 9:00am - 5:30pm with an hour break
