Canberra Health Services is seeking an accomplished financial leader to take on the pivotal role of Senior Director, Patient Accounts, Hospital Revenue and Financial Services. Situated within the CFO Division, this position provides a unique opportunity to influence the financial sustainability and operational effectiveness of a major public healthcare provider.

Reporting within the executive finance structure, the role combines strategic leadership with operational accountability, driving revenue performance, financial governance and service improvement across a complex health environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape contemporary revenue practices, lead transformational initiatives and contribute directly to the long-term sustainability of healthcare services across the ACT.

The Role:
The Senior Director provides strategic and operational leadership for own-source revenue operations, with responsibility for the Patient Accounts and Hospital Financial Services functions. The position oversees revenue optimisation, private practice administration, compliance, revenue assurance and financial governance activities across the organisation.

Leading a program of continuous improvement, the role will drive enhancements to systems, processes and reporting capabilities, leveraging technology, automation and data-driven insights to improve financial performance and service delivery. The position also provides expert advice to senior executives on complex revenue matters, funding models, legislation and policy, while building strong relationships with clinical leaders, government stakeholders and auditors.

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a commercially astute and strategically minded leader with significant experience in healthcare finance, revenue management or hospital financial services. They will bring deep knowledge of health funding and revenue models, combined with a demonstrated ability to improve financial performance through strong governance, innovation and operational excellence.

An influential communicator and collaborative leader, you will have a proven ability to engage senior stakeholders, lead organisational change and develop high-performing teams. You will be recognised for your analytical capability, sound judgement and capacity to translate complex financial and regulatory requirements into practical business outcomes that strengthen organisational performance.
