About The Role

The Strategic Communications division of FTI Consulting (NYSE; FCN) is one of the world’s largest strategic business and financial communications consultancies; with over 800 people in more than 25 key markets. FTI works with some of the world’s leading companies throughout the UK and around the world, to provide expert advice to address their most pressing communications and business challenges.

We are seeking a Senior Director to join our People & Transformation team. You will be working with clients to solve their most challenging issues. Regardless of the type of transformation, you will work closely with clients and project leadership teams to scope, plan, and deliver programs of work to drive change. Our work includes people, process, systems, and culture change. We work with clients across all sectors within FTSE 100 organizations with tens of thousands of employees to some clients with 300 employees or less.

As a Senior Director in our team, you will enable your clients to lead strategic transformations in their organizations through high impact experiences that deliver true business value and lasting results. You will lead teams of consultants to understand the human element of change and design and deliver activities to build readiness where it is needed across our clients’ organizations. As a Senior Director in our People & Transformation team, your day will be dynamic, balancing client delivery, team leadership, and business growth.

What You'll Do

Client Delivery

  • Scope, plan, and lead the execution of transformation programs, ensuring seamless delivery in both small and large matrixed organizations.
  • Facilitate change planning, including stakeholder analysis, business impact assessments, and change management strategies.
  • Design and execute change interventions, leveraging persona development, storytelling, design thinking workshops, and strategic communications.
  • Manage the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring scoping, pricing, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee multiple projects and clients simultaneously, maintaining high-quality outcomes.

Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead and inspire teams, ensuring structured delivery, clear delegation, and high-impact execution.
  • Provide mentorship and career coaching, supporting team members in their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with MDs/SMDs to align on strategic direction and ensure quality oversight of deliverables.

Business Development and Practice Growth

  • Drive business development activities, including proposal development, pitches, networking, and thought leadership.
  • Contribute to marketing and brand-building efforts for the practice.
  • Participate in internal initiatives that shape and evolve our People & Transformation offering.

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • Several years of work experience
  • Experience in a consulting, with direct experience running transformation projects or workstreams is preferred
  • Experience in Organisational Development, Change Management, or HR
  • Experience leading teams, and demonstrating strong project/program management skills to strict deadlines / timelines
  • A mindset that is focusing on developing early stage talent, and bringing out their best
