Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary 3 Month Contract with the possibility of extension and/or permanency

Classification: Senior Officer Grade A (PN 64591)

Salary: $172,246 (Plus 12.5% Super)

Location: Canberra Hospital, with hybrid work arrangements in place

Section: Policy, Strategic Projects and Corporate Records

About the Role: The Quality, Safety and Governance Team is seeking an experienced applicant to temporarily fill the role of Senior Director of Policy, Strategic Projects and Corporate Records. As a key member of our leadership team, you will lead the Policy, Strategic Projects and Corporate Records functions, driving high-performing teams to deliver organisational priorities and foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will provide expert strategic and operational policy advice to senior leaders and executives, supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.

In this role, you will oversee the development and delivery of significant strategic initiatives, including our Disability Inclusion Plan and the Together, Forward – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Needs Assessment and Action Plan, while supporting broader efforts to advance Closing the Gap outcomes. You will also ensure robust records governance and compliance with the Territory Records Act 2002, and provide oversight of policy governance systems that underpin safe, evidence-based and person-centred healthcare.

Success in this role will require strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships across a diverse range of internal and external partners. You will represent the organisation at committees, forums and events, championing strategic priorities and contributing to positive outcomes for our workforce, consumers and community.
