The Opportunity
Here at RS, we have a fantastic global D-suite opportunity to join our team and lead our procurement intelligence operations. This Senior Director level position is a newly created highly strategic and critical role, responsible for defining and leading the global procurement intelligence, analytics and decision-support capability across the entire RS Integrated Supply organisation.
This individual will be a vital part of RS Integrated Supply, owning the visibility, reporting and analytical frameworks that enable our procurement teams to make informed sourcing decisions, optimize client outcomes, maximizing commercial value.
What you will be doing
The role is accountable for identifying the best source to buy, providing recommendations across exact match, alternative source and functional equivalent purchasing strategies, while balancing client saving commitments, RS Integrated Supply profitability and supply chain risk considerations.
Operating globally, the role ensures sourcing recommendations and procurement strategies reflect both client-specific requirements and regional supply market dynamics, supporting sustainable growth and value creation across all regions.
There are some further key responsibilities of this role to highlight:
- Define and execute the global Procurement Data & Analytics Strategy
- Spend Visibility & Procurement Intelligence, establishing a single trusted source of procurement data and insight
- Best Source to Buy Analytics, developing and maintaining frameworks that identify the optimal source of supply for client requirements.
- Repeat Item Optimization - develop repeat-buy intelligence models that optimize procurement decisions across client portfolios.
- Supporting Ad Hoc Purchasing Intelligence recommendations
- Risk & Market Intelligence
- Develop procurement risk analytics and supplier intelligence capabilities, providing insights to the wider organisation.
- Establish risk-adjusted sourcing recommendations and decision frameworks.
- Provide early-warning indicators and predictive risk insights to procurement leadership.

Provide Regional Supply Chain & Client Insights through development of deep understanding of structures and industry dynamics
- Support global clients through locally relevant procurement intelligence.
- Identify opportunities to improve sourcing effectiveness through regional supplier and category strategies.
Ownership of Procurement performance reporting & business insights and KPI visibility, with executive level reporting

Stakeholder management and influence of procurement strategy through data-driven recommendations

Present insights and sourcing opportunities to executive stakeholders.

Engage directly with clients to support procurement optimisation initiatives.

Collaborate with suppliers to improve transparency, performance and supply.
Build and lead a high-performing Procurement Data & Analytics capability
- Lead, coach and develop the Data & Analytics Manager.
- Embed analytical capability, data literacy and insight-driven decision-making across the procurement organisation.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and accountability.
What you will bring
With a great background of senior level experience in procurement, supply chain, analytics, category management or commercial intelligence roles, you will bring significant insight into spend management and business intelligence.
With a proven track record of transforming data into actionable sourcing and commercial decisions, you will bring your experience working within global and complex supply chain environments with demonstratable success influencing senior stakeholders through insight-led recommendations.
