Precision AQ is growing! We are looking for an exceptional Senior Director to join our Real World Evidence team and drive the expansion of our European team.
Position Summary
The Senior Director (SD) leads research teams, mentors junior staff, leads existing projects, and builds new business. In addition, the Senior Director has direct management and oversight of a book of business, client accounts, and a team of researchers to deliver high-quality research. An SD is expected to be a critical contributing partner to the overall success and growth of our business. They are expected to actively engage in industry thought-leadership activities to increase the reputation of Precision services by speaking at national and international conferences and serving as an advisor to clients and trade associations.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the design and execution of a portfolio of research studies using a range of secondary data sources.
- Lead and direct teams to conduct high-quality analyses, efficiently meeting task goals and project objectives.
- Anticipate key risks and proactively develop and execute mitigating strategies.
- Develop and prioritize recommendations based on expected impact, communicate risks and opportunities to ensure staff alignment, assume the role of final decision maker able to overturn decisions, and take accountability for outcomes.
- Lead and strategize dissemination of research to a variety of stakeholders through peer-reviewed manuscripts, conferences, and other presentations.
- Proactively manage client expectations and implement strategies to resolve issues on a client or project basis.
- Anticipate potential opportunities by working collaboratively with clients and is perceived as a scientific partner, mentoring others to do the same.
- Communicate roles, responsibilities, and expectations for staff; provide ongoing coaching to staff; handle challenging situations with tact and poise.
- Support the growth of the business by contributing to and authoring research proposals and presentation content, participating in customer meetings, and targeting new opportunities with current customers for repeat business.
- Manage communications to support department and business unit goals and objectives.
- Partner with colleagues and business leaders on staffing decision recommendations (level to hire/when to hire) based on capacity models, utilization, and business pipeline.
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
- Empower employees to take responsibility for their career development and goals.

Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Master’s degree in a subject related to health-services research e.g., health economics, public policy, health policy, epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health
- 10 years of relevant research experience (at least 4-5 in consulting)
Other Required
- Strong working knowledge of epidemiological, statistical, and observational research methods
- Strong knowledge of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), pharmaceutical industry, health policy, payer value assessment, and health technology assessment (HTA) evidence requirements in Europe and globally.
- Extensive expertise in managing clients and client expectations, project timelines, and financial performance
- Expertise in developing proposals to generate new business
- Track record of published research in health economics, health outcomes, or health policy research
- Expertise in managing a cross-functional team in a research environment
- Experience with staff management and development
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of experienced and inexperienced researchers
- Expertise with business applications (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook)
- May require travel domestically and/or internationally including overnight stays
