The Job:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as Senior Director of Marketing and lead our marketing function forward. In this strategic leadership role, you'll support growth through innovative marketing strategies, with a focus on digital marketing, e-commerce, and demand generation. Working closely with Sales and Portfolio Management teams, you'll lead initiatives that enhance our market presence and operational excellence.
This position offers flexibility while leading a substantial marketing organization. You'll be instrumental in setting strategic direction, deploying marketing teams effectively, and managing product master data for Thermo Fisher Scientific. Your expertise in digital marketing and e-commerce will be crucial as you develop and implement data-driven marketing tactics that generate revenue growth.
The role involves collaboration with other divisions and external vendors, leveraging our strengths as a large-scale distributor. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact through innovative e-commerce initiatives while leading and developing a talented team in an international environment.

This role is office-based and can be based at a number of our European sites. Some international travel will be required – between 30-50% of working time, including overnight stays.
What Will You Do?
- Manage and develop a team of 5 direct reports and oversee an organization of approximately 80 people

Who We Are Looking For:
- Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in digital marketing and e-commerce within a B2B environment
- Preferred Fields of Study: Life Sciences, Computer Sciences, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven expertise with marketing technology stacks and big data analytics
- Strong track record of leading and implementing successful marketing strategies in retail/distribution
- Demonstrated people leadership ability, with experience of managing managers and managing a large organization
- Experience working in an international, matrix organization
- Advanced data science and analytics capabilities, with demonstrable results in implementing data-driven marketing initiatives
- Strong business acumen and financial management skills
- Proven ability to implement innovation and guide organizational change
- Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Advanced level of English required
- Ability to travel between 30-50% annually, including international travel with overnight stays
- Strong coaching, mentoring, leadership, and team development skills
- Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
- Experience in managing and optimizing marketing automation tools
- Track record of successful budget management and ROI optimization
