Skills And Competencies
A Moody’s employee at this level will typically have 12+ years of sales experience, including significant experience leading a data or content sales team in a global organization
- Demonstrated success managing, coaching, and developing experienced sales professionals across multiple European markets
- Deep expertise in enterprise data and content licensing, redistribution frameworks, permitted-use rights, and third-party distribution models
- Strong knowledge of AI rights licensing and AI-enabled data delivery, including Model Context Protocol (MCP), smart APIs, and related delivery models
- Proven ability to report to senior management on pipeline health, pipeline velocity, forecast accuracy, renewable revenue growth, retention, and commercial risk
- Strategic thinker with the ability to shape business strategy across enterprise licensing, AI rights licensing, data delivery, and growth
- Strong understanding of data governance practices, including data usage controls, entitlements, lineage, permitted use, and responsible AI governance
- Confident, credible leader capable of running Moody’s European Content Licensing business and representing the organization internally and externally

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or related area required; graduate/second-level degree (e.g. Master's/MBA) degree preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead Moody’s European Content Licensing business, driving regional strategy, commercial performance, client relationships, and sustainable growth
- Manage and develop a team of data and content sales professionals, establishing priorities, performance goals, account coverage, and growth strategies
- Own and expand executive-level client relationships through strategic meetings, commercial negotiations, and executive business reviews
- Drive enterprise licensing and redistribution opportunities, ensuring alignment with usage rights, redistribution frameworks, and licensing requirements
- Execute the commercial strategy for AI rights licensing, including client use of Moody’s content in AI workflows, models, agents, and enterprise applications
- Report to senior management on pipeline health, forecast accuracy, renewable revenue growth, retention, expansion, and key risks while advancing modern AI delivery models like MCP and smart APIs
- Partner with internal teams to align client solutions with enterprise licensing, AI rights, delivery, and governance requirements while applying strong data governance principles to all commercial decisions
- This position requires up to 50% travel for client and team engagement while supporting a hybrid working environment

About The Team
Our Content Licensing Sales team is responsible for driving revenue growth by enabling clients to access, integrate, and redistribute Moody’s ratings, data, and research through trusted licensing relationships. By joining our team, you’ll help expand Moody’s market presence, protect the integrity of our content, and ensure clients can confidently use Moody’s data across their platforms, workflows, and AI enabled solutions.
