Role Overview
We are seeking a highly driven Senior Director, Segment Sales – Governmental (m/f/d) to lead and grow our global Governmental segment. In this role, you will define and execute the segment sales strategy, drive order intake, and act as the central point of contact for all segment-related commercial activities.
The position combines strategic leadership, key account management, and cross-functional coordination, with full responsibility for revenue growth and margin performance within the Governmental segment.
The place of work can be chosen between UK, Denmark (Hørsholm), or Germany (Hamburg), offering flexibility within our global organization.
Key Responsibilities
Segment Leadership & Strategy
- Build, lead, and inspire a global segment sales team, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous development
- Define and execute the global sales strategy for the Governmental segment
- Drive order intake growth, revenue, and margin performance
- Develop and maintain segment forecasting and pipeline visibility
- Identify growth opportunities across new build and refit markets

Key Account Management
- Act as Segment Key Account Manager for key Governmental customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic accounts
- Drive high-value deal origination and successful closures
Commercial Ownership
- Own segment order intake and sales margin targets
- Ensure focus on profitable growth and value-based selling
- Monitor and steer performance against defined KPIs
Cross-Functional Interface
- Serve as the primary interface to product management and internal stakeholders
- Align segment needs with product development and portfolio strategy
- Act as Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for all Governmental segment sales topics
Sales Enablement & Governance
- Lead segment-specific sales training and capability development
- Establish and scale best practices across regions
- Ensure consistent and structured sales execution within the segment
Order Intake Focus Areas
- New Build opportunities
- Refits (scope and thresholds to be defined)
- Strategic key accounts
- Full NACOS portfolio within the Governmental segment

Key Requirements
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is preferred
- Proven track record in B2B sales leadership within the Governmental segment
- Strong experience in key account management and complex deal execution
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and margin improvement
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen
- Ability to operate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in forecasting, pipeline management, and sales planning
- High level of ownership and accountability
