Senior Director, Partnerships and Events – Europe

About the role

As Senior Director, Partnerships and Events – Europe, you will lead the development and delivery of DP World’s regional Sport partnerships and Trade events strategy, helping to strengthen brand awareness, stakeholder engagement, and commercial outcomes across Europe.

Reporting to the SVP Regional Communications, Europe, this role works closely with the global Partnerships and Events Centre of Excellence and a wide range of regional stakeholders. You will oversee a portfolio of strategic partnerships, sponsorships, customer engagement programmes, and events, ensuring that investments deliver measurable value for the business and align with DP World’s global brand and communications objectives.

This role plays a key part in connecting regional business priorities with global strategy, creating meaningful engagement opportunities for customers, partners, industry stakeholders, and senior leaders.

How you will contribute

  • Develop and lead the regional partnerships and events strategy, aligned with DP World’s global partnerships framework and business priorities.
  • Manage and optimise a portfolio of partnerships, sponsorships, events, and stakeholder engagement initiatives across Europe.
  • Ensure effective activation of partnership rights and benefits, maximising brand visibility, customer engagement, and commercial value.
  • Create and deliver executive engagement programmes that position senior leaders effectively at industry events, customer forums, and strategic stakeholder engagements.
  • Collaborate with Communications, Marketing, Commercial, and Business teams to deliver integrated campaigns and consistent brand messaging.
  • Establish clear performance measures and reporting frameworks to evaluate return on investment, stakeholder engagement, and business impact.
  • Lead annual partnership and event planning, including objectives, budgets, governance, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, suppliers, partners, and event providers to ensure high-quality delivery and cost efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, applying insights and best practices from across the global organisation.
  • Provide guidance on partnership governance, brand compliance, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Represent DP World at industry events, partner meetings, and stakeholder forums across the region.
  • Foster strong collaboration across regional and global teams to ensure consistent execution and sharing of knowledge and expertise.

What you will bring

  • Significant experience leading partnership, sponsorship, events, or stakeholder engagement programmes within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong commercial and strategic planning skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into impactful partnership and event initiatives.
  • Experience managing budgets, measuring performance, and demonstrating return on investment through data and insights.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple functions, markets, and leadership levels.
  • Strong project and programme management capabilities, including managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent an organisation confidently with external stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. Additional European languages are beneficial.
