Job Purpose
Working within the global team Core Technologies team, the Senior NDE Engineer will provide expert knowledge of all aspects of NDE as it relates to pipeline fabrication – linepipe, components and welding. It should include the relevant techniques and their application as well as support during tenders, preparation of documentation and overseeing qualifications.
Job Description
Responsible for all NDE requirements within the Core Tech VSO Support including R&D, standardisation, specification development, tendering, qualification, project execution, and supplier support.
Manager Insert
- Work closely with Engineering, Sourcing, and Supplier Quality - internally, regionally, and globally - in ensuring a lead role in the provision of NDE-related expertise as required, including taking a lead role in technical audits and ensuring NDE requirements are developed and fully understood both internally and externally.
- Work closely with Sourcing and Supplier Quality to ensure that the NDE-related aspects of qualification activities are effectively executed and support continuous development of existing and new NDE processes for TechnipFMC.
- Take a lead role in NDE-related failure investigation and root cause analysis activities, ensuring they are managed, understood, and resolved in a logical and timely manner.
- Proactively work across the organisation to identify, drive, and lead NDE-related improvement projects and opportunities.

You are meant for this job if:
- Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge and understanding of NDE used in pipeline fabrication
- Knowledge and understanding of typical welding processes used in pipeline fabrication
- Qualification of NDE procedures
- AuUT Validation or qualification experience
- Oversee mechanical testing
- Preparation of documentation (Techniques, ITPs, Validation Reports, etc)
- NDE Certification
- Promote HSE as paramount.

Additional Information
- Ability to build sustainable relationships, collaborate, and partner with all stakeholders.
- Ability to define welding-related problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions using Lean Process & Product Development (LPPD).
- Effective collaboration and communication with both internal customers and suppliers as well as working with other disciplines on NDE and related special process requirements and strategies in the supply chain.
- Develop continuous improvement strategy and processes within Core Technology for NDE and related special processes.
