Description

SolidCor is on a mission to make volume fire door replacement possible within days — enabling the industry to rapidly achieve compliance and community safety in every building. Born out of the urgent need for change following the Grenfell disaster, we have built the fastest production times in the industry and the widest range of primary-tested fire door configurations. We are growing fast and we are looking for A-players to help us get there.

We are passionate about getting things right and obsessed with quality. Our products are safety-critical — when a fire door fails, the consequences are real. That starts with making sure the right product gets to the right place at the right time.

We are looking for a Senior Dispatch Coordinator to own the outbound logistics operation at our Chesterfield factory — ensuring every order is picked, packed, and dispatched accurately, on time, and to the standard our clients expect. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role at the heart of our production and delivery operation.

If you thrive in a structured environment, take pride in getting the details right, and want to play a direct role in a business that is genuinely making buildings safer — this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the daily dispatch operation — coordinating order pick, pack, and despatch to ensure all deliveries leave on time and in full.
  • Plan and prioritise outbound workload across the team, allocating tasks and managing capacity to meet daily and weekly despatch targets.
  • Ensure all outbound orders are accurately picked against delivery notes and production records, with zero tolerance for incorrect or incomplete shipments.
  • Liaise with carriers, hauliers, and logistics partners to book collections, resolve issues, and optimise delivery routes and costs.
  • Maintain accurate despatch records and proof of delivery documentation, ensuring all systems are updated in real time.
  • Work closely with the production team to align despatch schedules with manufacturing output and client deadlines.
  • Support the wider warehouse and stores function — including goods-in, stock management, and inventory accuracy — as required.
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior members of the despatch team — setting the standard for accuracy, pace, and professionalism.
  • Identify process improvements in the despatch operation and work with the Operations Manager to implement them.
  • Ensure the despatch area is maintained safely, cleanly, and in line with SolidCor’s H&S requirements at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
