Are you passionate about digital construction, information management, and ensuring projects are built on accurate, compliant data?

Wates Residential is looking for a Senior Document Controller to join our Southern team based in Basingstoke on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

At Wates Residential, we invest, develop, build, and sell quality affordable homes through partnerships with Local Authorities, Housing Associations, and public sector organizations such as Homes England. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced information management professional to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality digital information across our projects.

The Role

As a Senior Document Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of digital information and data throughout the lifecycle of our projects. Working in line with Wates and industry-recognized standards, including ISO 19650, you will help ensure information is accurate, compliant, accessible, and supports the creation of a robust "Golden Thread" of project information.

You will work closely with internal teams, consultants, suppliers, and clients, providing expertise in document control, information management, and Common Data Environment (CDE) administration.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
