About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Senior Document Controller to support the successful delivery of customer projects. This role is responsible for managing project documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely submission, tracking, approval, and distribution of all required documents.
Project documentation is a key contractual deliverable, and the successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with customer requirements while supporting global project execution teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the project document control system.
- Create, maintain, and monitor project SDRLs (Supplier Data Requirements Lists).
- Control, track, and distribute all incoming and outgoing project documentation.
- Ensure customers, internal stakeholders, and suppliers receive the latest approved document revisions.
- Coordinate and expedite document submissions from engineering, design, project management, customers, and subcontractors.
- Manage document transmittal, submission, and approval processes.
- Prepare and issue non-technical project documentation.
- Compile and assemble project completion documentation, including IOMs (Installation, Operation & Maintenance Manuals) and MRBs (Manufacturing Record Books).
- Produce document status reports and provide regular updates to Project Managers regarding documentation-related risks and issues.
- Review project purchase orders and commercial documentation to identify documentation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific document control requirements.
- Identify potential documentation risks and support mitigation activities.

Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience working with document management systems and databases.

Desirable
- Previous experience as a Document Controller within an engineering, manufacturing, energy, construction, or project-based environment.
- Experience supporting large or complex customer projects.
- Knowledge of technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Experience communicating directly with customers and managing document approval processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
- Knowledge of oil and gas industry terminology, standards, and procedures.
